My degree project from HFF, University of Gothenburg - Artificial Landscapes deals with the eye, the camera, and the car. The image depicts places constructed for vehicles and transportation. Places intended to be visited and viewed at a fast pace through the window of a car, everything is prefabricated and constructed for maximum function and economics. The images from Gothenburg and Denmark are photographed with an 8x10” Sinar view camera turns the intended esthetics on its head. The flickering contemporary eye is replaced with a static renaissance eye.
